Burton's decision to cast Anthony Michael Hall, formerly Brian "the brain" Johnson in The Breakfast Club, as Jim, the antagonistic bully- slash-ex-boyfriend, was strange, to say the least. Between the quirky plot, the romance, the goth undertones, and the star-studded cast, Edward Scissorhands was a wonderful and surprisingly relatable.
