Quisp and Quake. Two great guys. It was a shame one of them had to go. Thanks a lot Quaker

Quisp won by a wide margin and, true to their word, Quaker discontinued Quake cereal. Quisp cereal began disappearing from grocery stores in the late 1970's. It was re-introduced in the mid-80's for a short time. Today (2021), Quisp has been available again for at least a few years, albeit in limited places and only the 8.5oz size box.

Quaker Oats introduced Quisp, a sugar cereal that had a flavor similar to the iconic Cap'n Crunch, in 1965, and it was on the market nationwide until the late 1970s and then again in 2012. Quisp cereal was introduced with a sister cereal called Quake, which also had a fairly short life on the market, thanks in part to Quisp.

Quisp is a sugar-sweetened breakfast cereal from the Quaker Oats Company. It was introduced in 1965 and continued as a mass-market grocery item until the late 1970s. Subsequently, the Quaker Oats Company marketed Quisp sporadically, and with the advent of the Internet, began selling it primarily online. Quisp made its return to supermarkets as a mass-market grocery item in late 2012.

Quisp, a zany pink alien, had met his match in Quake, a miner-themed superhero. While the two were technically sister brands from the Quaker Oats Company, only one would win the hearts and stomachs of kids โ€” and as cereal history can already tell you it was Quisp. As a cereal and mascot, Quake may be gone but he hasn't been forgotten.
